Home Church Life History

Every year we hold our Patronal Festival when we celebrate the life of our Patron Saint - Saint Barnabas. His name means ‘Son of Consolation’ or ‘Son of Encouragement’, a name he was given because of his missionary journeys round the Middle East, with Paul, encouraging ‘God Fearing’ Gentiles to become Christians.

During this annual event, the church is beautifully decorated with flowers, and this year, as usual, the flowers were donated by the family of Ivy Cooper in memory of her. Our many thanks go to them for this annual act of kindness.
